Important Notice
TopperGrad is an education marketplace and aggregator. We help students discover, compare, and apply to UGC-approved online degree programmes offered by our partner universities. TopperGrad does not directly deliver academic programmes or collect tuition fees. Therefore, all refund requests are governed by the respective university's refund policy.
How Refunds Work
When you enrol in a programme through TopperGrad, your fees are paid directly to the university. Since the academic relationship is between you and the university, refund eligibility, timelines, and procedures are determined by the university's own policies.
To request a refund, you should:
- Contact the university's admissions or student support team directly
- Submit a written refund request citing your enrolment ID and reason for withdrawal
- Follow the university's prescribed process and documentation requirements
TopperGrad's student support team can assist you with guidance on the refund process, but the final decision rests with the university.
University-wise Refund Policies
Below is a summary of refund approaches for each of our partner universities. Please note that these are indicative summaries; for the most accurate and up-to-date policy, refer to the university's official website or contact their admissions office.
Amity University Online
Amity offers a full refund if withdrawal is requested within 15 days of admission and before the commencement of classes. After classes begin, a proportional deduction applies based on the number of weeks elapsed. Processing takes 30-45 business days.
Manipal University Online
Manipal permits cancellation within 14 days of enrolment for a full refund minus a nominal processing fee. Post-14 days, refunds are processed on a pro-rata basis per the UGC refund guidelines. Refund requests must be submitted via the university portal.
Jain University Online
Jain University follows the UGC guidelines for refund of fees. A full refund (minus registration charges) is available if cancellation is made before the programme start date. Partial refunds may be considered up to 30 days after commencement.
Shoolini University Online
Shoolini provides a full refund if the student withdraws before the start of the semester. After commencement, refunds are granted on a sliding scale: 75% within the first two weeks, 50% within the first month, and no refund thereafter.
Chandigarh University Online
Chandigarh University allows full fee refund (excluding the application fee) if withdrawal occurs within 7 days of enrolment. Between 8-30 days, a 50% refund is applicable. No refund is available after 30 days from the date of enrolment.
DY Patil University Online
DY Patil follows a structured refund policy aligned with UGC norms. Full refund requests must be raised within 15 days of admission. After the programme commences, deductions are made proportionally. All refund requests are processed within 45 working days.
TopperGrad Service Fee
TopperGrad does not charge students any service fee or commission for using the Platform to explore, compare, or apply to programmes. Our services — including counselling, course comparison, and application support — are free for students. If you have been charged any fee by a third party claiming to represent TopperGrad, please report it to us immediately.
Dispute Resolution
If you face difficulties obtaining a refund from a partner university, TopperGrad will make reasonable efforts to facilitate communication between you and the university. However, TopperGrad is not liable for refund decisions made by universities. Any disputes regarding refunds shall be resolved in accordance with the university's policies and applicable laws.
